My yard is full of color. Most of the Iris
flowers have bloomed. I plant them amongst
the vegetables in the garden. It gives you a
nice splash of color early in the season.

The iris's are beautiful! I have some that grew in my grandmother's yard. They used to be dark velvety purple with white. That was so many, many years ago! The purple has faded and now they are just a whisper of color but I love them anyway because they were hers!
I also have some from our first pastor, who is gone now. They are just showing some color in the buds.
So pretty!
i am love my iris right now too. i have a one similar kind but not quite the same as you beyond the straight yellow one.
my two-year-old niece saw my blog and said to her mother about my one iris, "that's a nice chicken, mommy." i love little brains sometimes !
